Our History


We have a sense of humor around here. It's evident in everything we do, and is a must for keeping any sense of sanity in the current market. Call us on a regular basis, and you will get a taste of what we are talking about. Better yet, ring us up if you are in the area, and make an appointment to stop by. We'll give you the grand tour, and throw in Southern hospitality at no extra charge.

Our Assets


BuyBigTires.com boasts one of the largest supplier networks in the OTR Tire Industry, spanning six continents. Our specialty is finding the tires that no one else can. It has been said of our salesmen, that if they do not know where a tire is, then it does not exist.

While that may be a bit of an exaggeration, it is not far from the truth. They have combined experience of over 40 years in the OTR Industry, and if they don't know the answer to a particular question, they can easily find someone who can in our supplier network.

We routinely ship tires to 6 out of 7 continents, and are well accustomed to dealing with the sometimes peculiar requests that International Customs makes. Incidentally, if you know someone who would care to buy a tire in Antarctica, we would be more than happy to give them some very nice terms.

Our Credentials


While our website has been around for nearly 3 years now, people are very surprised to find that the company behind it, Mobile Fleet Service, has been in business 7 years. We are a member in good standing with the TIA(Tire Industry Association), the Better Business Bureau, and are registered corporation with the state of North Carolina.

We are not a fly-by-night operation. We are a serious business, who wants to do business with you. We ask that you give us a chance to supply your tire needs, and that you take advantage of the resources at your disposal on this site.

Our Goals:


Our primary goals are as follows:

  1. To provide tires directly to the end user: Our primary focus is on the people who pay to bolt on the tires: The construction companies, independent contractors, and mines whose bottom line is affected every day by a worldwide tire shortage. If we can find the lowest price available on a tire, and sell it directly to the end user, we can save them thousands of dollars in productivity and equipment costs every year. That excites us.
  2. To educate and inform the end user, and industry veterans alike: BuyBigTires.com continues to do this, through our blog "Heavy Treaddin", online broadcasts of "OTR Weekly with Tom White", and our resources page, which provides the information that so many in the OTR industry are desperately searching for.

Payment Terms


Bank Wire

We accept payment via immediate international or domestic bank wire.

By Check

We accept domestic, certified cashier's checks only. We do not accept company, personal, or international checks.

Credit Card

Depending upon the amount of the transaction, we may authorize credit card use through Google Checkout. If we do, you will be charged all processing fees, which generally are 2-3% of the total transaction value.

Letter of Credit

We accept letters of credit, only on occasions where terms are established and accepted by us before the LC is issued. Please contact management at 919-300-7224 if you wish to use an LC.

FAQ's



While the greatest amount of inquiries we receive are for tires in general, others require a little more explanation.
Here are examples of, and answers to the most frequent questions we receive:

Q. Are the prices of the tires per piece, and do they include freight?

A. The price per tire is indeed per piece. All tires are quoted Ex-Works. This means that the freight is quoted from where it is sitting, and excludes freight, taxes, duties, container fees, and anything else you can imagine. The prices are quoted in USD.

Q. Why do you not quote prices with freight included on your site?

A. There are a few reasons, but the main one stems from the fact that the price of oil is fluctuating on a daily basis. These influence the quotes we get for freight. Another reason is because of the size of these tires. There are only a few companies, and even fewer independent drivers who have the necessary insurance to haul these tires.

To quote our entire inventory in CIF fashion would be a logistical nightmare. If you would like a freight quote on some specific tires, please feel free to ask, and we will gladly get them quoted out as soon as is humanly possible.

Q. Can I arrange my own freight?

A. Yes, but it will probably cost you more. We don't mark our freight up, and we have a solid network of freight brokers and forwarders that we deal with on a daily basis. Should the freight company damage the tires in handling, we also manage the insurance reimbursement claims. It'll be easier for you if we handle it, but you are more than welcome to take on the responsibility.

Q. How can I become your representative in my state, country, geographic region?

A. Currently, we do not offer the opportunity to represent us in any capacity, internationally or otherwise. The paperwork requirements, in addition to the cost of supporting a staff outside of our office are not currently justifiable.

Q. Can't I work for you on a commission only basis?

A. While this works quite well for most normal businesses, the OTR industry at present time does not afford us this luxury. We can only work with you if we trust you implicitly. Usually, this is because we have worked with you before on a more than a few deals, in which case, you already work for yourself, and you don't need to be hired by us.


Q.What are your current financial terms?

A. Our standard terms are 100% via bank wire or cashier's check.


Q. Do you offer terms (10,30, or 45 days) on purchases?

A. The short answer is "That depends". We mostly offer credit on containers of passenger and truck tires, not OTR. Should you wish to pursue an alternative arrangement in terms, you should contact management directly @ + 919-300-7224.


Q. Will you work off of an LC(Letter of Credit)?

A. We will work off a letter of credit, but it must adhere to our specific terms. Contact us for more information.
