A Truly Giant OTR Tire

In the midst of a massive shortage, Titan Tires has just dropped a bomb:

They are going to produce a 73.5 inch OTR Tire.

Now, for the uninitiated, the 73.5 inch measurement is from the bottom of the rim opening, to the top of the rim opening.

A six foot tall man can stand upright in the space that rim will fit in. Right now, Titan is the only manufacturer that has released plans for a tire of this gargantuan size. I am sure the rest of the OTR industry is taking notes.

If Titan has any succcess at all with this product, expect Bridgestone, Michelin, and the rest of the crew to jump on board with their own products.

В самый разгар дефицита на рынке шин компания Titan Tires потрясла мир сенсацией:

Она собирается изготовить шину диаметром 73,5 дюйма.

Для непосвященных поясним, что имеется в виду расстояние в 73 с половиной дюйма от верхнего до нижнего борта автопокрышки.

В образуемый круг может встать, не нагибаясь, человек ростом чуть более 180 сантиметров. На настоящий момент лишь Titan объявил о намерении создать шину такого гигантского размера. Такие планы, разумеется, не станут игнорировать и другие производители внедорожных шин.

Поэтому если новое изделие Titan окажется успешным, то Bridgestone, Michelin и другие последуют за первопроходцем и выведут на рынок аналогичные продукты.
