“The Grizz” Is Back, and He’s Bringing an 81″ Tire with Him

Morry Taylor is known for a few things: His gruff nature, a keen business sense, and a knack for engaging book titles( If “Kill all the lawyers…and other ways to fix the government” doesn’t grab your attention, what will?).

Now, “the Grizz”, (as he is known in industry circles) has set his sights on topping himself, before Bridgestone or Firestone can. Titan already has their 73.5″ radial in production, and as far as he’s concerned “….we need an 81″ tire”. All I can say is “Wow”. This guy wants to be on top. While others are talking of expansion, he’s moved past them, towards total market domination.

We all have to respect his vision, and wonder what might have been if the other manufacturers had this kind of drive and foresight.

I guess we’ll never know…

In the meantime, let’s hope they follow through, and produce one of these monsters.

Возвращение «Гризза», или 81-дюймовая шина

У Морри Тейлора много завидных качеств. Он известен своей резкостью, деловой хваткой и умением давать своим книгам необычные названия (было бы странно, если бы ваш взгляд не задержался на обложке с названием «Убить всех юристов и другие способы навести порядок в стране»).

Теперь же «Гризз», как его называют в отрасли, вознамерился превзойти самого себя, пока этого не сделали Bridgestone или Firestone. Компания Titan уже запустила в производство радиальные шины размером в 73,5 дюймов, и, по мнению Тейлора, «нам нужна 81-дюймовая шина». На это можно лишь сказать: «Вот это да!». Тейлор хочет обойти всех. Пока другие компании говорят о расширении производства, он прорывается вперед к доминированию на рынке.

Стоит с уважением отнестись к его замыслам и задуматься, что было бы, если бы и другие производители были столь же амбициозны и дальновидны.

Но, думаю, этого бы никогда не узнаем.

А пока будем надеяться, что он добьется своего и выпустит одного из этих монстров.
